CFT

craniosacral fascial therapy

an incredibly gentle manual therapy that unwinds and releases accumulated fascial strain for overall better mobility & brain function

CFT blends 2 established modalities of Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST) + Myofascial Release Therapy along with dental techniques.

Built on the foundation that the craniosacral & fascial system are not separate and actually are one connected system.

the power of the fascia web

the fascia:

soft connective tissue that surrounds every organ, muscle, nerve, gland and the oral structures.

the fascia can tighten up anywhere in the body due to trauma, injury, unprocessed emotions, etc. that results in pain in the body from nerve and circulatory dysfunction. When we tighten up, everything follows. We want the fascia open and moving! This allows ultimate flow in the entire body meaning you feel reallllllly good.

What causes tightness in the craniosacral fascial system?

CFT for babies

(and mama)

This work is an amazing supportive modality for babies that are navigating tension in their fascia (especially in their mouths, neck and hips) and the consequences of strain.

Tight fascia in the mouth (and corresponding body) can look like tongue ties, lip ties, buccal ties, high palette, mouth breathing, trouble latching, head turning preference, drooling, digestive issues, colic like symptoms and general discomfort.

CFT allows us to release much of the tension within the mouth and clean it up.

Though CFT does not correct a tethered oral tissues (tongue, lip + buccal ties), it may help bring the fascia more forward for a successful release with your provider if that is needed. It is a powerful asset to utilize prior and post release to optimize the procedure and provide relief for your baby.

Mamas need CFT too! Birth (and c-sections) create massive strain in the body and postpartum as well. I love working with both mom and baby as the nervous systems mirror each other in this era. Mama feeling good opens up baby to shift as well.
